Relax Your Shoulders, Swing Your Arms, Unclench Your Fists
This hands-free leash includes a streamlined, very light-weight belt. The leash attaches to the belt on a sliding snap buckle, which allows you to adjust your dog's position without adjusting your belt. The side release buckle makes it easy to release the belt with one hand.
Use Your Core Body Strength
With its heavy duty construction, the leash absorbs a majority of the shock when your dog lunges, pulls or changes direction. This is because we built the Runner's Choice with bungee that has a minimum breaking strength of 215 pounds. Sounds excessive? Not for a big dog that's chasing a squirrel. For times when the tug from the bungee isn't enough to get your dog back on task, the Runner's Choice has a series of hold-knots and handles that makes it easy to grab and pull the dog closer to you.
Maintain an Appropriate Distance Between You and Your Dog
Once you have the dog in the position that you want, you can quickly adjust the length of the leash. Fully extended, it is 54" long. When the dog is running directly in front of you, this provides enough distance for you to react to any sudden stops or changes in direction. At the same time, the maximum length of this leash is short enough to maintain leverage over your dog's pull. Runners can also set the leash length for situations where the dog needs to be closer. The leash is quickly adjustable to a 46" and 30" length. In all cases, the bungee system is there to absorb the shock of your dog pulling and the knots and handles allow you to completely control the leash.
